me.

After the first test, the results seem to be ME! I am 89% extraverted, 1% sensing, 25% feeling, 44% judging. I am a ‘provider’, I care a lot about how others feel and sometimes their moods affect me. I try to stay as organized as possible and get everything done in an orderly fashion. I focus a lot about the moment rather than the future. I really enjoy the company of others and I like to be in social events.

I averaged a 2.04 on the Attractiveness test, and apparently I am more attracted to "Trendy" and "Intellectual" women. This makes sense, and I could somewhat trust the validity of this test, however the pictures should really be changed to represent more of the better-looking women in the world.

I have above average EQ. I am aware of what's going on in my surroundings. "You are likely sensitive to the emotional climate of the people around you - your peers, friends, family and key clients. You are well aware of the effect your behavior has on others.”

This Class.

What did you like about the class?
-I enjoyed it very much! I learned a lot about the thinking process that humans go through, a into to the human brain, many psychological disorders that I didn’t know about, etc.

What was your favorite activity or project?
-Sensation and Perception Fair! Woot! It was a lot of fun working on the project with partners. Not to mention how much we learned from each other.

What didn't you like about the class?
-Sometimes I didn’t learn as much in class as I wish I should’ve. At times, we really got off topic and even though the topic might have been interesting, it wasn’t related to the test tomorrow!

What do you think I should leave out next year?
-Nothing! I think a lot of things we learned we relevant and important to understand.

Do you have any suggestions or ideas for things I could do next year in AP Psych?
-Try to make the power points shorter so we can get through more of them.

Do you have any suggestions or ideas for next semester in AP Econ?
-Is it really going to be that HARD? =(

I HATE PROCRASTINATION

After reading a couple different articles about this topic that every teenage seems to have a problem with, I think time management is the key. Procrastination seems to be ‘inherited’. Its in our human nature to be lazy and put things off. But doing so only leaves a bigger and longer task ahead.  We just need to learn to plan ahead. Leave yourself enough time to finish everything and focus on what’s at hand. Don’t expect perfectionism. Feeling that things should be done a certain way can be a stumbling block to beat procrastination.  A good famous quote is by Nike, “JUST DO IT!” Getting it done now means more relaxing and enjoyable leisure time later. Getting a planner and writing everything down is a good start. But allowing yourself enough time to do everything is also a consideration. A good example of this is shopping malls. Ever notice how broken up shopping malls are; 2+ levels of floors, twist and turns to get in and around, shortcuts to get to the other side. If malls were laid out in one straight hall, we wouldn’t want to walk all of it. It seems too stressful. But by viewing a ‘broken up mall’ it seems a lot easier to walk and we feel as if it’s a shorter distance. So, BREAK UP YOUR TO DO LIST!

Help!

Dear Mom and Dad,

I can’t stand my roommate and his friends anymore. They throw their things everywhere! My side of the room is always spotless before they come over. It frustrates me so much! I just want to be home with you guys were everything is clean and organized. My teacher is evil and out to get me, I know it! He marks points off my paper every time without an explanation, how frustrating this is mom and dad.  I have a feeling someone is watching me write this so I better hurry and wrap it up, I miss you guys though. Take care.

Martina Eberl

thumbnail_martina_eberl_026.jpg

Martina Eberl is a two tie runner-up on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) over her pro career. But Martina Eberl is not just any golfer, she is one with a story. A story that even many of her playing opponents are not even aware of. Since the age of 14, Martina has been suffering from a eating disorder called Bulimia Nervosa.

In 2004, at age 23, she managed to finish second at the BMW Ladies Italian Open. Still coping with her disorder. It wasn't until 2005 at the age of 25, she realized her sufferings has gone on too long and got professional help. She had reached a point where she was so weak she could not longer concentrate on the golf course.

Bulimia is a deep rooted psychological illness, and Martina still doesn't know what caused it. She assumes it must had been her 'perfectionist' side taking over. "I always wanted to be perfect and I always wanted to have success whether it was in school or in sports, I always wanted to be the best;always." Martina feels very lucky she made it through this tough time in her life, it is said that many girls between the ages of 13-27 have this eating disorder and many don't make it.

Martina is a strong girl many claim, she endured this suffrage for almost a full 10 years before seeking medical help and fully over coming her disorder.

Personal comment: I am a junior golfer myself trying to expose my level of game to as many college coaches as I can. I know that frustration that comes with a sport that you work so hard and diligently on. Martina not only exposed herself but went on to turn pro...coping with a disability the whole way though. Incredible.
